I have recently purchased a new HP laptop g6 series with Windows 7. My HP Laserjet CM1015 MFP does not have a 64 bit driver for Windows 7. After browsing this problem in various support forums I downloaded a Generic driver form HP which allows me to print,even though it behaves erratically. However, the Laptop does not recognize the printer and I am unable to use the Scan feature or check print cartrridge status etc.Spent several hours with HP to no avail.just got passed on from person to person and was finally told that my printer was 'too old' (5 years).Any suggestions to achieve the printer functionality?As it is my Palm Z22 handheld cannot be used with my new laptop as there is no 64 bit driver for that either.Just can't keep buying new accessories.Thanks.
